The Big Drive – Car Cruise and Fundraiser
The Big Drive’s Purpose
Event coordinator Kat Funaki, also a member of the Events By Our Team (EBOT) organization, has a goal. This year, 2021, she is wanting to raise at least $5,000 this year at the Big Drive. After the drive, 4 organizations will receive an even split of the funds raised. All of these organizations are non-profits that help children and veterans – those who Kat and her partners wanted to help most this year.
How The Big Drive Came to be
The idea to help multiple organizations with one fundraiser came from Kat’s partnership with a local car group named Sweet Temptationz and Coffee Revolution Co., another group wanting to make a difference in the Lawton Community. Instead of hosting multiple events throughout the year, they wanted to have one large event to help as many people as possible.
