Kat Funaki and Taylor Bartlett tell us why and how they make a difference in their community on the final episode of the “Resolution Series.”

The People Who Do

In the final episode of our “Resolution” series, we spoke to coordinator Kat Funaki and BancFirst Event Developer Taylor Bartlett about their experiences making a difference in their community. Mrs. Funaki is a long-time Lawtonian known for putting together car shows, raffles, giveaways, vendor shows and more. With each event, her goal to give back to organizations such as non-profits grows greater and greater.

Taylor Bartlett represents one of the banks in Lawton, Oklahoma that has made it their personal goal to create a close relationship to the community around them. BancFirst is one of the only banks in Southwest Oklahoma to partner with a local school and offer programs for both students and adults to become financially independent.

What Is Making A Difference?

It could be something as small as buying a blanket for a person without warmth before the winter. Or, it can be as significant as developing a project to allow handicapped children to enjoy local parks in their community. However you choose to do so, making a difference can be as easy or as challenging as you wish. But the most important part to remember is to do it for someone else.

How Can I Get Involved?
